After 22 years at Black Bear Lane, Newmarket H-D will be moving to larger premises, we have simply outgrown our current premises on Black Bear Lane, we originally opened with just the one building which incorporated the workshop, in 2002 we expanded by building a stand alone workshop, parts and offices building which took away a large amount of parking. Now, in 2018 we have reached our capacity. In order to offer the best possible experience to our customers, we're re-locating!
Our new premises, still within Newmarket will be situated just off of the A14/A141 Fordham Road on Oaks Lane, just behind Tesco’s. We have had some great input for the design of our new site from our current team and lots of customers, so when you visit our new premises do look out for some iconic items that we have taken with us, for example, though the building will be brand new we will be fitting a wooden finish to the fascia outside to mirror our look at Black Bear Lane, plus we will have some internal features you may well recognise!
Our new site will have some 35 plus parking spaces and we’ll be away from the main horse tracks and we will have no issues with live bands at our events as the nearest houses are quite a way from us, our workshop and parts department will be in the same building as the rest of the site. We will have a great inside customer lounge and a purpose built seating area outside, and if the weather is poor at any of our events we have a “warehouse” area that can accommodate 200 people plus.
From a personal perspective it is Black Bear that got me and my family into Harley’s, I bought my first H-D from Black Bear the week the dealership opened way back in 1996, joined Fenlanders HOG and have since made some lifelong friends, when Emma my Daughter was born in 1999 one of her first photos was taken at Black Bear, together as a family we have travelled the UK & Europe to H-D rallies and have been fully immersed in the H-D lifestyle. In 2001 I began to manage Stadium H-D in Walthamstow and have been managing dealerships since. None of this would have happened had it not been for my first H-D purchase at Black Bear
I am fully aware that things have changed at Black Bear and are set to change further still when we eventually move to Oaks Drive, the one thing I can promise is that you will see the same faces and have the same reception as you do now
