BarbersRide 2017 is a charity motorcycle ride to raise money for two very worthy charities: Great Ormond Street Hospital and The Lions Barber Collective – an international collective of barbers committed to raising awareness for the prevention of suicide. Harley-Davidson UK & Ireland is pleased to be associated with this inaugural event as a key sponsor.
BarbersRide 2017 began Saturday 22nd July 2017 and finished 26th July in Shoreditch, London home of famed Bike Shed, where an evening of fun, good food, music and liquid refreshment was enjoyed by all who attended.
The BarbersRide 2017 charity ride involves an international collection of barbers and guest riders riding 500 miles from Dundee to London. As well as collecting donations en route, evening stopovers featured barber seminars from invited speakers and after-ride parties. The majority of the BarbersRide organising team is huge Harley-Davidson fans and has been riding their Harleys on the planned route.
Conceived and planned by Colin Petrie, Harley-Davidson enthusiast and owner of famed barbershop Hard Grind, BarbersRide 2017 is, with the help of a like-minded team, geared towards raising donated funds for the world-famous Great Ormond Street Hospital renowned for its specialist children care, and The Lions Barber Collective.
To date BarbersRide 2017 ride has collected £8,000 over the duration of the ride by donation with more to come and hope to bust the £10,000 target. Lind Harley-Davidson customers and friends can help achieve this by making a donation on the Barbers Ride 2017 JustGiving web portal.
