When you purchase a new Harley-Davidson motorcycle, one of the benefits is the roadside assistance plan that comes with your new bike for 12 months. Up until now all new Harley-Davidson motorcycles have been sold with H.O.G. Assist but there are some changes we want to let you know about.
From February 1 2017 the current product of H.O.G. Assist will be renamed Harley Assist. Allianz Global Assist (AGA) will be the new roadside assistance provider replacing AXA. There are a range of improvements and benefits that come with the change.
The new Harley Assist cover stays with the bike for 12 months, so if you’re purchasing a nearly-new bike you will be able to benefit from this service. As the cover is attached to the bike, it doesn’t matter who is riding it at the point of breakdown, you will still be covered.
Under the new Harley-Assist cover, should your bike break down during a ride to another country within Europe, you can now choose either to have the bike fixed away from the registered home country of the bike, then returned when fixed or to have the bike brought to your local dealership for repairs – both come with no extra costs. In the event that your motorcycle cannot be fixed, it will be taken to the nearest authorised Harley-Davidson dealership and you will be provided with a hire car or a lift to your destination.
This service is provided by a combination of our own Harley-Davidson mobile technicians and a comprehensive network of motorcycle recovery operators.
