Ride to Work Week 2017

To help raise awareness of how motorcycling is a vital commuting aid, Harley-Davidson UK has taken steps to get as many Harley-Davidson owners to take part in International Ride To Work Day 2017 as possible by arranging additional “commuting” cover for Harley | RiderInsurance™ customers – with no additional charge or paperwork. International Ride to Work Day 2017 is world-stamped for 19th June. Anyone can take part simply by commuting to and from work on their motorcycle, scooter or trike. As a Harley-Davidson owner you will also get the benefit of your pride and joy being seen by other less-mobile commuters and pedestrians to leave an indelible thought: “Wow! How cool? Wish I had one of those. Maybe I should also get a motorcycle licence…”

International Ride To Work Day is the chance for the world-wide motorcycling community to unite by riding to work to prove how commuting on a motorcycle is a far better experience, whichever way you look at it. Fuel and time savings come with the ease of getting through congestion and together further boosts your personal wellbeing from riding your motorcycle. In the UK, International Ride to Work Day 2017 signals the start of a week-long annual Ride to Work Week (19-25th June) to further highlight the benefits of motorcycling.

For more information on Ride to Work Week, please visit the official website here. At Lind Harley-Davidson, our staff will also be supporting this week long event by riding to and from our Lind Harley-Davidson stores in Guildford, Newmarket, Norwich and Reading. With the time saved by riding to work, you could use some of this ‘spare time’ to call into our showrooms on Ride to Work week, where we will be offering early risers the chance to enjoy the delights of an early morning doughnut and a good cuppa of whatever you fancy for the entire week.
